Southern California Edison (SCE), which is owned by Edison International, made the move to comply with state standards that require utility companies to increase their renewable energy sources, therefore reducing the state's dependence on fossil fuels.
The SCE has purchased up to 960 MW of solar thermal and wind power.

Everyday more and more solar power is going to be used.
